Transcripts & Audio Recordings

The US Bankruptcy Court for the District of Colorado is not accepting new transcribers at this time.

The schedule of transcript preparation fees will change effective October 1, 2023.  Please see the increased rates on the table below.

Requests for Transcripts of Hearings and Trials

Ordering a Transcript
A transcript of a court proceeding may be ordered by directly contacting a transcriber from the list below.
Transcript fees are charged per page for the number of copies (the original and any additional copies ordered) and delivery time requested. There is no charge for the copy provided to the court. The maximum rates set by the Judicial Conference of the United States are listed in the table below. Fees must be paid directly to the transcriber in accordance with the payment arrangements made with the transcription service. Delivery times commence on the date that payment arrangements are made.
Restricted Public Access Period and Redaction Requirements
A transcript may be viewed immediately after filing at public computer terminals in the Clerk’s Office. However, to provide time for parties to review a transcript for compliance with the privacy protection provisions of Bankruptcy Rule 9037, a transcript generally will not be made electronically available to the general public via the Internet until at least 90 days after the date the transcript is filed.

Requests For Audio Recordings of Hearings and Trials

Ordering an Audio Recording
A court-produced audio recording may be ordered by filing a request through your e-filing account. Use the Miscellaneous event “Request for Audio of Court Proceeding (fee)” The request must be filed with the court in a specific case or proceeding – requests via phone, fax, or email are not accepted. Pursuant to the Appendix to 28 U.S.C. § 1930 (Bankruptcy Court Miscellaneous Fee Schedule), there is a $32 fee to reproduce an audio recording of a court proceeding. This fee is due with the filing of the request.
If you are not an e-filing attorney, please call 720-904-7303 to place your audio order.
NOTE: The court does not process any requests for transcripts or audio recordings of meetings of creditors held under § 341 of the Bankruptcy Code. Contact the Office of the United States Trustee, (303) 312-7230, for information about obtaining an audio recording of a 341 meeting.
