Ordering a Written Transcript

Approved Transcribers

A written transcript of a court proceeding may be obtained by contacting a transcriber from the list of Approved Transcribers. It is not required that you use an Approved Transcriber for the transcription of a § 341 Meeting of Creditors, but all Approved Transcribers can provide a transcription of § 341 Meeting of Creditors.

The Court is not accepting new transcribers at this time.

Fees

Transcribers charge fees to prepare written transcripts.  Maximum rates for transcripts are set by Judicial Conference of the United States and posted here. Fees must be paid directly to the transcriber. After completing a transcript of a court proceeding, the transcriptionist will deliver it to the ordering party and file a certified electronic copy with the Bankruptcy Court.

Restricted Public Access Period and Redaction Requirements

A filed transcript may be ordered from the transcriptionist or viewed only at the Clerk’s Office for a period of 90 days after it is delivered to the Court. After 90 days, the transcript is available via CM/ECF and PACER. For more information, please go here.

Attorneys:  File an audio request in the relevant case and pay the appropriate fee. Use the miscellaneous event, “Request for Audio of Court Proceeding (fee).”

Non-attorneys:  Go here to submit your audio request and pay the fee. Audio recordings are provided via email within one business day of a request. If you have questions, call 720-904-7303.

§ 341 Meeting of Creditors

All audio recordings of § 341 Meeting of Creditors are maintained by the Office of the United States Trustee. A copy can be requested at no cost. Click here for instructions on how to submit your request to the Office of the United States Trustee.
