ACCESS FEES FOR COLORADO COURTS
GENERAL PROCEDURAL ORDER NUMBER 1997-1
THIS MATTER arises in response to efforts of the Colorado Judicial Coordinating Council to facilitate coordination and efficient judicial administration between the federal and state court judicial systems. In accordance with 28 U.S.C. § 1930(b) and interpretative policies of the Judicial Conference of the United States, efficient and economical access to public information for Colorado courts is best facilitated by exempting Colorado courts from miscellaneous fee charges.
It is therefore
ORDERED that
1. No charge shall be made to Colorado state courts and their agents for electronic public access to court data in any case or proceeding in this court.
2. The Clerk of this Court shall obtain a no-charge access number and password to be
disseminated to those individuals designated by the Chief Justice of the State of
Colorado.
