  • Special brown bag discussion forum on Chapter 13 issues. - There will be a special brown bag discussion forum on Chapter 13 issues with the Judges on July 15, 2009, at noon, in room 154 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court. This discussion forum will cover some of the language and proposals of the "Additional Plan Language Committee" and other procedures being implemented by the Chapter 13 Trustee, parties in interest and any new Congressional or governmental actions.
  • Chapter 13 Trustee's Recommended Procedures for the Submission of Tax Returns - There is a new chapter 13 email address designed solely for the Debtor's submission to the Trustee of the tax return/affidavit required to be provided by 11 U.S.C.521(e)(2)(A)(i). Providing the return by email will save copies and postage and will allow the Trustee to monitor her receipt of the returns more efficiently. Please advise your staff or client to provide the return/affidavit to taxreturns@ch13colorado.com

    Remember the deadline for submission is no later than 7 days prior to the first date set for the meeting of creditors.
  • Bench/Bar Meetings - Brown bag lunches for practicing attorneys and the Bankruptcy Court Judges will be held at noon in room 154 of the Bankruptcy Court on the following Wednesdays in 2009: February 4, April 1, October 7 and December 2(lunches in June and August are cancelled due to schedule conflicts). Come share your ideas, suggestions, questions, issues and concerns on case management, court procedures, and general practice matters.
  • PRIVACY RULE - Bankruptcy Rule 9037 - Bankruptcy Rule 9037 requires that personal identification information defined as individuals' Social Security and taxpayer identification numbers, names of minor children, financial account numbers, and dates of birth, be redacted from documents filed with the court.
