What is PACER?

The U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Colorado is currently a site providing federal court case information on the Internet and through a directly dialed number on a system called PACER. Most courts offer electronic public access through the PACER Service Center, the judiciary's centralized registration, billing, and technical support center. Electronic access is available to court records for the U.S. District Courts, U.S. Bankruptcy Courts, U.S - Courts of Appeals (through ABBS), and U.S. Party/Case Index by registering with the PACER Service Center. Each court maintains a separate database with detailed case information for electronic access. Access to PACER is provided directly over the internet and through a directly dialed number.  Whether you access PACER on the Internet or use the dial-up service, you will be required to use a login and password issued by the PACER Service Center. If you do not already have a PACER account, call (800) 676-6856 or (210) 301-6440 to obtain a registration form. You can also apply online here.   It takes about a week to receive a login and password from the PACER Service Center.
